A Pakistani Salwar Kameez is a beautiful offering from our neighbour country. It consists of a long kurta called the kameez, a salwar or churidhar and a dupatta. This suit is commonly worn in Sindh, Baluchistan and Kashmir regions. The beauty of a Pakistani shalwar Kameez is the fact that it combines old world charm and modernity.

A Pakistani Salwar Kameez is a reflection of the dresses worn in pre-partition India. It usually has long sleeves, long kurta and a full-sized dupatta. The kurta is teamed with either a churidhar or patiala salwar or a pleated salwar. Also, the dupatta is an integral part of the outfit and is not optional like the salwar kameezes worn in India. If observed carefully, the prints, colours, designs and embroideries are very distinct from the salwar kameezes worn in India.  The embroideries commonly used in a Pakistani suit are called Kamdani and Gota.

A beautiful Pakistani salwar kameez is usually designed in cotton, silk, and chiffon. Also, a lot of patterns are made around the neckline.
